This high performance sewing thread features a filament polyester core, wrapped in staple fibre cotton cover. The strong polyester core ensures high tensile strength and resistance to needle heat and abrasion. A key advantage of this polyester core is its stability in water. Unlike natural fibres, it does not swell when exposed to moisture. As a result, the corespun thread experiences minimal change in size or thickness when damp. The outer cotton fibres give a natural, matte finish to the sewing thread. This combination of raw materials and production method, makes this polyester/cotton corespun perfect for high-speed sewing machines.
