HISTORY OF RIBBON & ROPE
Ribbon & Rope has a story of passion and quality. Let us take you on our tour through time and find out more about Ribbon & Rope.
1988
THE START OF JABECO
Three students Jan, Berend and Koen got the chance to do something different. To finish their study small business, they founded their own startup: Jabeco. This project provided the three students a way to identify new business opportunities.
1991
NEW CHALLENGES
After the first succesfull years, two of the three friends (Berend & Koen) went their own way. Jan decided it was time to focus on narrow textiles and hosiery.
1992
THE FIRST OFFICE
The company occupied an office building at the Industriestraat in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Jan was joined by his very first colleague.
1999
EXPANSION & QUALITY
Quality is job one. Jabeco decided to specialize even more in narrow textiles and said goodbye to all unrelated products. The office made room for two new desks. The third and fourth colleagues joined the team.
2004
MOVING FORWARD
Jabeco kept moving forward, and literally opened a new door. We entered a new office and warehouse at “de Grote beer” in Den Bosch. The new space was needed for extra stock and three new team members.
2010
BUILDING ACROSS THE STREET
You have to keep moving forward, in our case: across the street. Number 19 & 21 were added to the office and warehouse of Jabeco.
2015
FURTHER GROWTH
It’s 2015: the company that once started with three employees, can now proudly say that the fourteenth employee has joined the team.
2018
BREAKING DOWN WALLS
Due to the successful delivering from stock, more space had to be created. Number 17 was added to the rest of the buildings. We broke down the second wall to connect and expand the warehouse.
2019
TIME FOR A CHANGE
This year it was time for a change. The organization has never been so structured and we were proud to present this to our customers. That’s why it was time for a brand new identity. In this process we determined our unique selling points and core values. The long experience in the narrow textile industry combined with thirty years of improvement, challenges and growth resulted in:
Ribbon & Rope house of narrow textiles.
